powders and primers
Before ordering powders and primers, please add the separate hazardous materials shipping fee to your order of up to 48 pounds by clicking on the link below and adding it to the cart. This fee is required by shipping companies for materials considered to be hazardous to the shipper, this includes reloading powders, primers, black powder, and caps. This fee is not added at checkout currently (this is being fixed, having to add the fee to the cart will be temporary) and must be added to the cart by the customer. If an order is placed without applying the fee, customers will be contacted by email and the order will not be shipped until the fee is paid. Hazardous materials fee differs from carrier to carrier.
Note: 1000 count of primers weighs appx. 1.1 pounds. Do not apply Hazardous materials fee for ammunition orders. Loaded ammunition is not considered Hazardous material.
J.S. Drake's recommendations about ordering powders, primers and etc: Over the past few years, the cost of reloading powders and primers has gone through the roof, and the implementation of mandatory "hazardous" shipping fees have only added to the price increases. It is still possible to get these products at prices that are reasonable in the current market. My recommendation is to get with other people who also need these products and make one bulk order as close as possible to the 48 pound max limit per order. This will reduce the fee amount per product and give you the best return on your order.
